Il DECIMO INDIANA MEETING si terrà ad inizio di Giugno 2012 nell'incantevole cittadina di Colmars, sulle spettacolari Alpi della Savoia Francese, e prevederà il tour completo del più bel canyon europeo, le Gorges Du Verdon Il nostro amico Christian sta trovando al solito posti e strade stupendi, a noi spetta solo l'ingrato compito di essere TANTISSIMI!!! |

Our TENTH INDIANA MEETING will be in early June 2012 in the nice town of Colmars, in the Savoia Alps mountains, and we'll ride on the roads around the biggest european canyon, le Gorges Du Verdon Our friend Christian is working hard to find nice places and roads, we "only" have to be A LOT OF PEOPLE!!! |

IMPORTANTE: MODALITA' DI PERNOTTAMENTO Il Gassendi ha solo DUE stanze singole con letto matrimoniale o doppio (una è già prenotata per me ed Esmeralda, n.d.Davdesmo), il resto sono camerate con una decina di letti ciascuna. Chi fosse interessato ad usufruire di stanza singola provi a contattare immediatamente Christian I proprietari si aspettano che ciascuno provveda a portarsi un sacco a pelo personale per dormire, loro provvedono a fornire solo le lenzuola ed eventualmente, con un piccolo sovrapprezzo, coperte e quant'altro per chi non disponesse del sacco a pelo - IMPORTANTE: in quest'ultimo caso bisogna avvertire preventivamente Christian affinché prenoti il necessario! |

VERY IMPORTANT: HOW WE'LL HAVE BED&ROOM Gassendi mainly have dormitories (10 single beds each) but TWO "single" bedrooms are available: Christian must now if someone is interested in single room (I think at least Esmmi and me will deserve one, Davdesmo) They expect us to bring either sleeping bag or meat bag (is it the right English word for this?). Blankets are provided. For those needing sheets, they have to book it in advance (there is an extra cost, few euros but I don't remember the details). Tell Christian how many and him will relay this to Gassendi. |

IMPORTANTE: PREPARAZIONE DELLA MOTO Ragazzi: saremo in montagna ed alta montagna ed il tour pianificato dal nostro Christian prevede un sacco di strade rigorosamente curvose con svalico di molti passi alpini, anche piuttosto alti e ripidi (ben oltre i 2000 metri, neve permettendo) e spesso con pendenze oltre il 15% Questa premessa per ricordare che sarà estremamente importante presentarsi al raduno con le moto in ordine, soprattutto per quanto riguarda GOMME e FRENI, che saranno messi a dura prova nelle impegnative discese (e tutti ben conosciamo i freni dell'Indiana...) Christian si attende una grande coscienza in questo senso da parte di tutti ed in cambio promette che al termine del raduno sarete tutti più bravi tra curve e tornanti! |

VERY IMPORTANT: PREPARING BIKES " these roads are REALLY like mountain roads, with lot of turns, passes (col de la colle St Michel, col de Felines, cold du Buis, col de St Barnabe, col d'Ayen, col de l'Olivier, col de Clavel, col de Luens, col des Leques, col de Toutes Aures.... well quite a lot of.... pleasure :-))) ) Some are very easy but some do require obviously to have bikes in good shape, especially for what concerns tires and brakes. More than 15% in col de Felines !. Nothing to be worried about but check your bike twice. And if you don't know how to handle hairpin bends, at the end of the meeting, you will have improved a lot..." |

ORARI (soprattutto sabato) Al solito il nostro Christian ha meticolosissimamente preparato un gran bel giro, che però il sabato si prevede un po' lunghetto. Al mattino il trasferimento dall'albergo al luogo del pranzo si prevede di circa 100 (divertentissimi...) km, pieni di curve e saliscendi - ne consegue una media piuttosto bassina da cui la necessità di partire prestino SABATO MATTINA PARTENZA DALL'ALBERGO ALLE 9, puntuali e con serbatoio rifornito!! Il pranzo si terrà a Castellane, dal quale si partirà per il gran tour delle "Gorges du Verdon", per un totale di circa 230 km prima di rivedere l'albergo, ad una media necessariamente non superiore si 35-40km/h SABATO A PRANZO PARTENZA DAL RISTORANTE ALLE 14 PRECISE, non oltre e non troppo "bevuti" (in Francia la polizia ama i motociclisti, ma non quelli ubriachi...) La cena ovviamente si terrà in albergo, quindi non ci saranno problemi di orario DOMENICA MATTINA supplemento di giro, pranzo ad Annot prima di salutarci e tornare ciascuno verso casa, il piano di rienro non è ancora definito nei dettagli ma sarà meno impegnativo del sabato. |

TIMETABLE As usual Christan have prepared a detailed roadbook for the Meeting, moreover for the long trip on Saturday On Saturday morning we'll have a first ride for about 100km to Castellane, where we'll have lunch - a very nice road but not so fast for a lot of turns and mountain roads, so it'll be mandatory to start early SATURDAY MORNIG THE START WILL BE AT 9:00AM with fuel tank FULL We'll have lunch at Castellane and in the afternoon we'll ride around teh "Gorges du Verdon", for 230km before coming back to Colmars, with an average speed of 35-40 km/h SATURDAY MANDATORY START FROM RESTAURANT AT 2:00PM after lunch, without too much alcool because french policemen likes bikers (motards) but they don't likes drunk bikers... On SUNDAY MORNING we'll have a little ride to Annot, where we'll have lunch before say "goodbye" - the trip isn't yet totally prepared |
